Key Responsibilities- Provide Person-Centered Counseling: You will work closely with patients to understand their unique needs and develop personalized treatment plans that address their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Advocate for Patients: You will serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that their rights and interests are respected and protected throughout the treatment process.
- Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: You will work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each patient.
- Meet Agency Documentation Standards: You will maintain accurate and comprehensive records of patient interactions, treatment plans, and outcomes, ensuring that all documentation meets agency standards.
- Meet Authorization Requirements: You will ensure that all necessary authorizations and approvals are obtained for patient treatment, in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Education and Experience: You will possess a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related field, or an equivalent number of years of directly applicable experience in mental health counseling.
- Licensure and Certification: You will be eligible to apply for a Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor license within 30 days of hire and obtain it within 90 days.
- Previous Experience: You will have previous experience providing mental health counseling services, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Safe Driving Record: You will have a current Washington state driver's license and a safe driving record, as required by MultiCare standards.
- BLS Certification: You may be required to obtain BLS certification, depending on the assigned area.
