This is a full-time position with a 32-hour workweek, offering a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Accurately and timely document patient information, including AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, adhering to established boundaries.
- Participate in patient rounds and teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Identify and address patient behaviors contributing to crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques.
- Communicate changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse and follow established protocols.
- Remain awake and alert at all times while on duty, ensuring patient safety.
- Perform Point of Care testing and maintain proficiency in electronic medical records.
- High School diploma or GED required; two years of college plus one year of clinical experience preferred.
- Previous experience in direct patient care, preferably in a psychiatric setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
