Cabell Huntington Hospital/St. Mary is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our hospital facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport cleaning supplies and equipment to assigned areas
  • Use treated dust mops and wet mops to clean floors, and disinfect surfaces
  • Pick up trash and linen, and dispose of trash properly
  • Clean restrooms, polish tubs, showers, mirrors, and commodes
  • Run sweepers, and use clean cloths on all furniture
  • Spot clean walls, carpets, and upholstery
  • Perform monthly deep cleaning tasks, including washing walls, cleaning windows, and shampooing carpets
  • Refinish floors as needed, and shine floors with buffing machines
  • Clean janitors' closets in accordance with fire code
  • Stock areas with paper supplies and soap
  • Clean discharge rooms and sterile areas according to policy and procedure

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Previous experience preferred
  • Ability to learn assigned duties within a 90-day period
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
