Role Summary: Oversee the nursing staff and medical support personnel. Implement and manage all nursing care and infection control protocols for clients and staff. Ensure the continuity of nursing program services in a manner that is ethical, legal, and moral within a secure and therapeutic environment, adhering to applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Collaborate as a team member in delivering addiction treatment services to clients and their families, facilitating recovery issues in their daily lives.

Qualifications/Essential Requirements:

  • Valid RN license in Illinois
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
  • Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Proficiency in computer systems required.
  • Ability to navigate and document in electronic health records required.
  • Capacity to complete necessary documentation accurately and within designated time frames.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Work designated hours and any additional hours necessary for assigned responsibilities.
  2. Ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care and safety practices for clients and staff.
  3. Develop staff schedules to guarantee adequate coverage at all times.
  4. Supervise assigned nursing and medical support staff, including orientation, training, regular supervisory meetings, feedback, scheduled evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  5. Coordinate and oversee all nursing activities for clients, including ongoing case management.
  6. Supervise behavioral interventions for clients at high risk for aggression or self-harm, establishing realistic safety measures, which may include transfers to more suitable care levels or acute care facilities.
  7. Assume responsibility for the physical upkeep of the unit and request necessary repairs or services.
  8. Consult with leadership and medical professionals to develop policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for nursing services.
  9. Act as a health consultant and resource for clients, families, and non-medical personnel, participating in health education for clients directly or through supervision.
  10. Be attentive to and act upon any medical or emotional crises.
  11. Ensure client service records are maintained in accordance with DMH, TJC, and Medicaid regulations, including accurate and timely documentation.
  12. Develop, implement, and revise best practices to maintain current nursing practices.
  13. Create a system to identify, track, and review core competencies for all health services positions.
  14. Oversee Infection Control throughout affiliates and prepare necessary reports, maintaining knowledge of current infection control techniques.
  15. Be available on call 24 hours for administrative support.
  16. Collect performance improvement data related to nursing care.
  17. Be responsible for training, testing, and quality control.
  18. Participate as a member of the Administrative Team in all team meetings and activities.
  19. Understand and comply with all principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
  20. Perform all responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and expectations of Rosecrance.
  21. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every client.
  22. Serve as a role model for staff, clients, and customers, demonstrating positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
  23. Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.

Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts

  • Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Monday through Friday
