Role Summary: Oversee the nursing staff and medical support personnel. Implement and manage all nursing care and infection control protocols for clients and staff. Ensure the continuity of nursing program services in a manner that is ethical, legal, and moral within a secure and therapeutic environment, adhering to applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Collaborate as a team member in delivering addiction treatment services to clients and their families, facilitating recovery issues in their daily lives.
Qualifications/Essential Requirements:
- Valid RN license in Illinois
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Experience in behavioral health nursing preferred
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Proficiency in computer systems required.
- Ability to navigate and document in electronic health records required.
- Capacity to complete necessary documentation accurately and within designated time frames.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work designated hours and any additional hours necessary for assigned responsibilities.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality nursing care and safety practices for clients and staff.
- Develop staff schedules to guarantee adequate coverage at all times.
- Supervise assigned nursing and medical support staff, including orientation, training, regular supervisory meetings, feedback, scheduled evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Coordinate and oversee all nursing activities for clients, including ongoing case management.
- Supervise behavioral interventions for clients at high risk for aggression or self-harm, establishing realistic safety measures, which may include transfers to more suitable care levels or acute care facilities.
- Assume responsibility for the physical upkeep of the unit and request necessary repairs or services.
- Consult with leadership and medical professionals to develop policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for nursing services.
- Act as a health consultant and resource for clients, families, and non-medical personnel, participating in health education for clients directly or through supervision.
- Be attentive to and act upon any medical or emotional crises.
- Ensure client service records are maintained in accordance with DMH, TJC, and Medicaid regulations, including accurate and timely documentation.
- Develop, implement, and revise best practices to maintain current nursing practices.
- Create a system to identify, track, and review core competencies for all health services positions.
- Oversee Infection Control throughout affiliates and prepare necessary reports, maintaining knowledge of current infection control techniques.
- Be available on call 24 hours for administrative support.
- Collect performance improvement data related to nursing care.
- Be responsible for training, testing, and quality control.
- Participate as a member of the Administrative Team in all team meetings and activities.
- Understand and comply with all principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
- Perform all responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, values, and expectations of Rosecrance.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every client.
- Serve as a role model for staff, clients, and customers, demonstrating positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.
- Assume other related responsibilities as assigned by management.
Work Schedule: 8-hour shifts
- Shift: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Monday through Friday
