Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Sonographer to join our team at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central. As a Vascular Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing vascular sonography in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and physician's orders, educating patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice, monitoring patient condition continually and reporting/responding to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, selecting appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, implementing safety standards, and performing quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality, taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results, utilizing critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Registered Sonographer, Registered Radiologic Technologist, or Registered Vascular Specialist certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program.
  • Minimum experience preferred.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
