Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans to address respiratory insufficiencies.
  • Implement and monitor respiratory care plans, including the use of advanced respiratory care modalities.
  • Monitor patient condition and communicate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Educate patients and families about respiratory health and provide information about community resources and support groups.
  • Respond to emergency situations and participate in code blue responses as needed.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Respiratory Therapist registration from the National Board for Respiratory Care within 6 months of hire date.
  • Tennessee Board of Respiratory Care registration prior to hire date.
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
