Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Surveyor to join our team at the Bureau of Land Management. As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting surveys and mapping land boundaries, ensuring accurate and reliable data for our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys and mapping land boundaries to ensure accurate and reliable data for our operations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that survey data is integrated into our systems and processes.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, and other external partners.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in land surveying.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or a related field.
  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in land surveying, with a strong background in boundary surveys and mapping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Land Surveying or a related field.
  • Experience with geographic information systems (GIS) and mapping software.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to land surveying and mapping.
  • Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, and other external partners.
