Job Overview

Applied Business Communications (ABcom) is a national low voltage BICSI Certified Prestige commercial structured cabling contractor seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Foreman to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage cabling crews to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
  • Build out telecommunications closets and install cable support systems
  • Install and terminate various types of cabling, including cat 6 horizontal station cable, backbone cable, fiber optic cable, and inner duct
  • Perform copper splicing, fiber splicing, and cable testing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with copper and optical fiber cabling
  • Work safely on ladders and use power tools
  • Meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience running projects in the communications cabling industry
  • Data Center experience is a plus
  • Demonstrate a clear knowledge of codes and standards
  • Ability to complete and submit accurate documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional dress and demeanor
