Overview:
As a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist in an educational setting, you will be instrumental in fostering the communication and language skills of students. This role requires collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals to effectively identify and manage speech and language impairments, ensuring that each student can thrive both academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough assessments to diagnose communication disorders.
  • Create and execute tailored intervention plans for students facing speech and language difficulties.
  • Work in partnership with teachers, parents, and specialists to cultivate an inclusive educational atmosphere.
  • Deliver direct therapeutic services to students, both one-on-one and in group settings.
  • Track and document student progress, modifying intervention strategies as necessary.
  • Engage in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing essential contributions to the multidisciplinary team.
  • Offer guidance and professional development to educational staff on speech and language matters.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Prior experience in a school environment is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
