Company Overview:

PTS Advance is looking for a skilled Senior Structural Engineer to enhance our Energy, Manufacturing, and Bioprocessing division. This role involves contributing to the design and modification of structures within various industrial sectors, including oil, gas, power, and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis and design of structural steel and concrete frameworks, prepare engineering cost assessments, and collaborate with other engineering disciplines.
  • Perform site evaluations to assess field conditions, identify design limitations, and address construction-related challenges.
  • Prepare detailed engineering calculations and sketches, review technical drawings, and develop project proposals, scopes, and budgets.
  • Utilize engineering software effectively and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Engineering Application:

  • Design comprehensive structural systems adhering to relevant building and material codes, typically involving steel, concrete, or a combination of both.
  • Formulate design concepts and recommend suitable structural support and foundation systems.
  • Assess existing structures and provide detailed reports on any deficiencies, suggesting necessary evaluations.

Design Responsibilities:

  • Generate clear and concise calculations, including software analysis models, and ensure appropriate connection designs.
  • Coordinate efforts with other engineering disciplines to minimize errors and omissions in deliverables.
  • Establish design criteria for all assigned projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
  • Produce well-organized structural engineering documentation, including drawings and specifications.

Construction Support:

  • Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance with specifications.
  • Engage in preconstruction meetings and conduct site visits to monitor progress.
  • Address all RFIs and provide necessary construction support.

Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Guide structural engineering staff and serve as a subject matter expert in advanced engineering concepts.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers to foster their professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • A minimum of twelve years of experience in industrial and manufacturing environments.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE).
  • Proficient in MS Office, MathCAD, SAP 2000, SAFE, AutoCAD, and relevant engineering codes.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
