Pharmacist - Rotating Shifts

Ascension St. Vincent is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team. As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders. You will review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems. You will also compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients. Additionally, you will provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients, and communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care. You will oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies. You will also assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students. May float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs.
Responsibilities
Assure the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders.
Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug-related problems.
Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients.
Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
Communicate with physicians and other clinicians as necessary to facilitate care.
Oversee technical personnel who assist in the preparation, maintenance, and dispensing of medications and supplies.
Assist with academic functions such as serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students. May float to provide coverage of pharmacy needs.
Provide patient counseling efficiently and effectively when required.
Requirements
Pharmacist credentialed from the Indiana Board Of Pharmacy obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.
