Job Summary
The Eyecare Advisor Member creates exceptional value in the lives of patients by delivering exceptional patient service and ensuring all patients receive the highest quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers without delay when they enter the location and show urgency in providing service to customers and satisfying their needs.
- Determine the reason for the customer's visit and explain how to shop at Target Optical.
- Be attentive to details, review prescriptions and/or patient information carefully, and identify special needs.
- Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
- Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
- Identify situations involving unsatisfied customers and act quickly for resolution.
- Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation/procedures.
- Handle and file all patient records in an organized and efficient manner.
- Place contact lens orders, process shipments, and properly submit invoices for payment.
- Accurately operate the POS system, collect proper payment, and take pride in the appearance of the store.
- Inform management of potential safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices.
- Comply with all safety/regulatory requirements and ensure supplies/chemicals are stored and used appropriately.
Requirements
- High School Graduate / GED or equivalent experience.
- Strong communicator and listener to customers and associates.
- Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Strong interpersonal skills (friendly, caring, patient).
- Sales skills.
- Knowledge of store merchandise.
- Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or optical.
