Mission Statement:
This role is integral to the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Air & Missile Defense (AMD) Mission Command Product Office, focusing on Army Air and Missile Defense systems, particularly in Mission Command systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), government personnel, and system operators.
- Develop system-level specifications that define MEI and CSCI behavior, performance, and acceptance criteria to guide software development.
- Lead reviews and address feedback related to the specifications.
- Utilize a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach to document features in an Agile environment.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and either reside in or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area.
- Significant experience in systems engineering is required.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is essential: tactical command and control systems, tactical weapons systems, tactical sensor systems, software, hardware, requirements decomposition, or MBSE tools and languages.
- Proven experience in the design, integration, and analysis of military electronics, computer networking, super-minicomputers, microcomputers, and digital/graphic display systems.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret security clearance, with potential for higher classification levels.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of progressively complex experience.
- Demonstrated initiative and teamwork capabilities in a small team setting.
- Experience in systems engineering for DoD programs is highly desirable, particularly in Army Air and Missile Defense.
- Hands-on experience with modeling tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw using SysML and UAF is preferred.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence, as well as SAFe Agile methodologies, is advantageous.
