Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Cardiac Nurse RN to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Cardiac Nurse RN, you'll provide professional nursing care within an assigned unit, coordinating care planning with other disciplines and acting as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
  • Coordinates care planning with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
  • Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
  • Participates in hourly rounding and observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
  • May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s) and supervises other members of the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
  • CPR and ACLS certifications as applicable by Facility/by Department.
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
  • Preferred experience in CVICU or ICU or Min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BSN degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
