We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher - Special Education to join our team at Gwinnett County Public Schools.



The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field and be certified in Early Childhood Education or Special Education. They will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction and creating a supportive learning environment for students with diverse needs.



This is a full-time position working in a preschool setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized lesson plans, providing direct instruction and support to students, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure student progress.



The salary for this position is estimated to be between $59,146 and $112,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.



Job Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement individualized lesson plans that meet the needs of students with diverse abilities and learning styles

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in small group and one-on-one settings

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure student progress and achievement of learning goals

  • Assess student learning and progress, and adjust instruction accordingly

  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student progress and involve them in the educational process

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in early childhood education and special education



Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

  • Certification in Early Childhood Education or Special Education

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality instruction and creating a supportive learning environment

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/guardians
