Baylor Scott & White Health - Central Texas is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializing in Geriatric Primary Care. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional healthcare services to our elderly patients, ensuring their medical needs are met with compassion and expertise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and psychological health through detailed examinations and comprehensive medical histories.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests, prescribe necessary medications, and suggest appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to create and implement effective treatment strategies tailored to individual patient requirements.
- Offer guidance and support to patients and their families regarding health management and care plans.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date patient records while ensuring timely referrals to specialists when necessary.
- Perform medical procedures within your professional scope and expertise.
- Engage in collaborative patient care initiatives and wellness programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- In-depth knowledge of medical diagnoses and treatment methodologies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proven capacity to formulate and execute effective treatment plans.
- Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas along with APRN certification.
- Basic Life Support certification required within the first month of employment.
- Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with less than one year of clinical experience.
