This position is to assist the District RN with student screenings and to substitute for the District RN when they are out of District. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the District RN with student screenings, including vision, hearing, and other health-related assessments.
- Provide support to the District RN in the absence of the regular RN, ensuring continuity of care and services to students.
- Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement health-related programs and services.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
- Current certification as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Texas.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.
