Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in administering skilled physical therapy interventions to patients with physical impairments related to musculoskeletal, neurological, integumentary systems, and other conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administers treatment that aligns with the plan of care and practices within the scope of the physical therapy state practice act.
  • Implements discharge planning, ensuring equipment needs, home exercise programs, and follow-up care are addressed appropriately and documented in the medical record.
  • Assesses whether continuation of skilled therapy aligns with regulatory criteria.
  • Reports observations of performance and response to treatment to the physical therapist.
  • Attends both departmental and IDT (interdisciplinary team) meetings as established by the physical therapist.
  • Participates as an active member of the IDT, providing updates regarding the needs or progress of patients as determined by the physical therapist.
Requirements:
  • Associates Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in physical therapy and experience working with geriatric populations preferred.
  • Florida licensed physical therapy assistant.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including medical/dental/vision coverage, a 403(b)-retirement savings plan, free on-campus parking, an onsite fitness center, and more.
