Phlebotomist PRN Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist PRN to join our team at Colleton Medical Center. As a key member of our interdependent team, you will play a crucial role in achieving positive patient and departmental outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Promote consistent and positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service.
  • Perform specimen collection while following established policies and procedures of the Clinical Laboratory.
  • Instruct patients on proper specimen collection procedures.
  • Work efficiently and communicate effectively under stressful conditions and time constraints.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of work-related information.
  • Practice good infection control by hand washing, wearing personal protective equipment, for the protection of patient and self while maintaining a neat, well-kept work area.
Requirements:
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Phlebotomy certificate preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: One year hospital experience (including venipuncture experience) preferred.
  • Familiarity with a hospital laboratory is desired. Medical terminology preferred.
