Position Overview
Job Title: Per Diem CAT Scan Technologist
Department: Imaging Services
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts CT imaging procedures with a thorough understanding of anatomical alignment, imaging protocols, and equipment operation to achieve high-quality results.
- Adheres to departmental guidelines for imaging processes unless directed otherwise by the supervising Radiologist.
- Ensures the production of accurate diagnostic images while prioritizing patient safety and comfort.
- Engages in effective communication with Radiologists, confirming orders and gathering pertinent patient history.
- Maintains cleanliness in the CT suite and complies with infection control protocols.
- Organizes work tasks efficiently and prepares patients for imaging procedures.
- Operates CT machinery safely, ensuring compliance with radiation safety standards.
- Prepares and administers contrast agents as required for imaging.
- Experience with power injectors is advantageous.
General Duties:
- Adheres to safety protocols and conducts Quality Control measures.
- Utilizes problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
- Participates in departmental meetings and fulfills additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Graduated from an accredited Radiology program and holds a valid license.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologies and possesses BLS certification.
- Proficient computer skills and fluency in English are mandatory.
Per Diem Technologist Requirements:
- Availability for 4 shifts within a 6-week scheduling framework, including weekends and holidays.
- Flexibility in location based on staffing requirements.
- Responsible for shift coverage and obtaining managerial approval.
