Software Test Engineer Job Description

Millennium Corporation is seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer to join our team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will possess an active Secret security clearance and be located near Hampton, VA to be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, methodologies, and strategies to ensure high-quality software releases.
  • Plan and conduct test programs, including end-user operational testing and data reduction and analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates for test plans and technical reports.
  • Evaluate test environments and ensure they are properly available for thorough testing of software releases.
  • Deconflict schedule conflicts between multiple releases and provide high-quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead.
  • Provide T&E technical and engineering support by documenting test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting.
  • Apply Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test programs.
  • Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problems, data, or other features of the work.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a similar field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DOD space.
  • Experience with Agile methods, including testing methods for CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps.
  • Experience with DoD Test and Processes.
