Lifepoint Behavioral Health seeks a dedicated Assessment Specialist - Nights to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate behavioral health services to individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and respond to inquiry calls, scheduling face-to-face assessments or triage as necessary.
  • Assess patients who present for evaluation, ensuring the needs of each individual are met.
  • Screen for medical and behavioral emergency conditions, providing critical support when needed.
  • Perform comprehensive assessments, providing quality therapeutic care to patients with substance abuse, dual diagnosis, psychiatric, or emotional disorders.
  • Coordinate with the clinical team and on-call physician to ensure the needs of each patient are met.
  • Interpret treatment plans to patients and families, reducing fear and anxiety associated with care.
  • Complete administrative processes, including admission and precertification of care with external payers.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in social work or counseling required; RN licensure may be used in place of a master's degree, per state regulations.
  • Current, unencumbered clinical social work or counseling license, or per state of practice guidelines; RN license may be accepted.
  • Valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using personal vehicles.
  • Ability to meet typing keyboard expectations.
  • CPR and CPI certification within 30 days.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility working with adult and geriatric patients.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and a passion for providing quality care.
