Job Title: Residential Sales Manager
Job Summary:
The Residential Sales Manager will oversee and lead the daily operations and activities of our residential outside sales team. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, improving sales performance, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Recruit, Hire, and Train: Recruit, hire, and train Residential Sales Specialists to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
- Motivate and Encourage: Motivate and encourage the sales team to ensure quotas are met and/or exceeded. Provide coaching, guidance, and support to help them achieve their goals.
- Assign Sectors and Monitor Progress: Assign sectors to reps to work and monitor progress. Identify areas for improvement and develop plans to address them.
- Staff and Attend Community Events: Staff and attend scheduled community events to promote our products and services.
- Weekly Field Time: Spend weekly field time coaching, assisting, and training reps in the field. Identify training gaps for each rep and develop plans to address them.
- Collaborate with Other Departments: Collaborate with other departments to resolve any issues and ensure seamless communication.
- Hold Daily Sales Meetings: Hold daily sales meetings in the office with team members to discuss progress, goals, and challenges.
- Conduct Performance Evaluations: Conducts performance evaluations in the field that are timely and constructive. Implement Performance Improvement Plans up to and including termination in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor Payroll Process: Monitor the payroll process and ensure all corrections are approved in a timely manner.
- Track Performance Metrics: Track daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly performance and sales metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and initiatives.
- Excellent Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects and tasks.
- Availability to Work Evenings and Weekends: Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to Receive and Provide Feedback: Willingness to receive and provide feedback to improve performance and achieve goals.
- Ability to Work Outside: Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season and during inclement weather.
- Valid Driver's License: Valid Driver's license, satisfactory driving record, and personal auto insurance required.
- Ability to Complete Documentation: Ability to complete documentation accurately and efficiently.
- Strong Supervisory and Leadership Skills: Strong supervisory and leadership skills to motivate and guide team members.
- Proficient with Technology: Proficient with smartphones, tablets, and software including CRM.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 3 Years of Sales Experience: Minimum 3 years of sales experience required.
- 2 Years of Sales Supervisor or Management Experience: 2 years of Sales Supervisor or Management experience preferred.
