Candidate Profile

- Education: BSc/MSc/PhD or equivalent in Geophysics or a related subsurface field.

- Experience: At least 12 years in geosciences, including a minimum of 10 years in a geophysicist or senior geophysicist role within a 2G context. Diverse experience is essential, with at least one role in an operational setting and one in conducting 2G&R studies. Note: years of experience are indicative.

- Strong understanding of 2G&R principles, with exposure to operations such as well planning and seismic acquisitions, geological and reservoir modeling, reservoir development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to communicate, mentor, and share knowledge and experience.

- Proven ability to foster and maintain effective collaborations within the 2G&R domain and across other development and business disciplines.

- Technical Skills: Proficient in subsurface software and company workflows. Extensive knowledge of geosciences and reservoir software utilized within TEP-Brazil for geophysical interpretation and subsurface modeling.

Key Responsibilities

- Serve as the Technical Authority for the Geophysics discipline, ensuring integration with other Geosciences disciplines:

- Validate seismic acquisition and processing plans, interpretation results, inversion processes, and associated geological modeling methodologies and workflows, as well as operational decisions related to seismic acquisition and well planning.

- Provide expertise and coaching on Geophysics-related issues based on asset needs, emphasizing cross-discipline integration.

- Facilitate knowledge sharing regarding GSR and subsurface development between assets within TEP-Brazil and from HQ/service companies, focusing on the Geophysics discipline and cross-discipline integration.

- Propose and oversee the implementation of company-wide GSR processes and best practices, tailored to specific asset requirements, particularly in seismic acquisition, processing, interpretation, inversion, geological modeling, and data management.

- Ensure compliance with the GSR 'Referentiel' for the Geophysics discipline, overseeing adaptation and derogation processes to align with TEP-Brazil objectives.

- For OBO assets, contribute to defining TEP Brazil's strategy to positively influence HSE, production, and recovery performance.

- For Operated assets, assist in maintaining aligned communication with partners regarding subsurface development, production, and reserves delivery, with a focus on 2G matters.

- Lead talent development for G&G disciplines:

- Participate in the GSR recruitment process for G&G staff, including justifying staffing needs, identifying candidates, pre-selection, interviews, and final selection.

- Recommend professional development and training opportunities for GSR staff, as well as for professional mobility within or outside TEP-Brazil.

- Engage with external GSR stakeholders:

- Contribute to the integrated GSR affiliate budget, including compilation, follow-up, revisions, and asset allocations. Consult on budget lines related to Geophysics services and studies.

- Identify GSR topics for inclusion in Geoscience R&D programs and provide consultation for relevant Geophysics-related R&D initiatives.

- Consult on significant GSR-related decisions involving support from OT/CL and other HQ technical entities for the Geophysics discipline, including work program definition, budgeting, progress assessment, and results validation.

- Provide input on technical choices related to IT infrastructure and software supporting GSR activities, focusing on efficiency, standardization, and cost-effectiveness.
