Position Overview:

Mead & Hunt, a well-regarded professional services consulting firm, is seeking a full-time entry-level planner to join our aviation division.

Key Responsibilities:

The role involves supporting various tasks, including:

  • developing aviation planning documents such as airport master plans, strategic frameworks, system plans, and airport land use compatibility assessments
  • providing comprehensive national and state environmental documentation
  • creating presentations for stakeholder and public engagements
  • conducting thorough research and data analysis
  • gathering and assessing airport, land use, and environmental information
  • designing maps, figures, and visual graphics
  • composing technical reports and public communication materials

Travel Requirements:
Some travel may be necessary.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in transportation, urban or environmental planning, airport/aviation management, civil engineering, geography/GIS, economics, or a related discipline from an accredited four-year institution.

Preferred Skills:
The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • excellent technical writing capabilities
  • strong research abilities related to aviation, planning, and environmental issues
  • experience working collaboratively in teams as well as independently
  • background in public speaking and presentations
  • familiarity with GIS, AutoCAD, and/or graphic design tools
  • a keen interest in aviation, airport planning, and development
