Customer Service Representative Job Summary

Motion & Flow Control Products is seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer-facing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, responding to their inquiries, and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and fax, providing accurate and timely information
  • Process customer orders, including preparing quotations, writing orders, and relaying pertinent information to customers and suppliers
  • Coordinate with other departments to handle purchase orders and provide service and support to customers and the Outside Sales Team
  • Use our business ERP systems to retrieve customer information, stock status information, and the status of purchase orders
  • Track and follow up on inquiries, quotations, and orders through our ERP systems
  • Ensure all required documentation is obtained and forwarded to customers
  • Interface with suppliers on technical, pricing, and delivery issues
  • Respond to inquiries in a timely manner with good phone selling skills
  • Assist accounts receivable with payment and credit hold issues
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships
  • Provide the highest level of customer service promptly and ethically
  • Generate and maintain accurate required documentation, including quotations
  • Address and resolve all customer requests and/or complaints utilizing a positive, creative approach
  • Collaborate with all appropriate departments and personnel to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Develop ideas that help MFCP improve customer service, systems, and procedures
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
  • Adhere to strict Safety Guidelines
Requirements:
  • Must be 21 years or older as some driving will be required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent written and oral communication and strong relationship building skills required
  • Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong computer skills, including use of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs
  • Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 a plus
  • Must be a good listener with above-average reasoning ability and make minimal mistakes
  • Must be a good learner who can assimilate product knowledge and skills as they are presented
  • Experience with distribution and familiarity with our product lines a plus
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance
  • As MFCP is a small employer, and employees work in a collaborative team environment, employee must be physically present in the office to perform his/her job functions
  • Previous background should include knowledge of parts and nomenclature as well as a demonstrated ability to work well with customers and suppliers
