Pharmacist Job Description

At Select Medical, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care in a compassionate environment. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical support to the hospital pharmacy function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain adequate drug supplies at the pharmacy at all times.
  • Correctly inform and instruct patients on any drugs to be used after discharge.
  • Develop and participate in new employee training and education programs.
  • Participate in patient drug therapy monitoring.
  • Promote an environment of continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of patient needs, ensuring each patient feels informed and understood.
  • Passionate about providing superior quality care and inventive problem-solving in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of all educational requirements as mandated for state licensure.
  • Current State licensure required.
  • BLS if required by State.
  • Must maintain a current license in the state of practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pharm D or BS Pharm plus advanced degree or completion of hospital pharmacy residency.
