Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of histology? BayCare Health System is seeking a skilled Histologist to join our team of dedicated professionals.

About the Role:

  • As a Histologist, you will be responsible for processing and examining biological tissue samples to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
  • You will work closely with our team of pathologists and laboratory technicians to ensure accurate and timely results.
  • Our state-of-the-art facilities and cutting-edge technology will provide you with the ideal environment to grow and develop your skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and examine biological tissue samples using specialized equipment and techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of test results and patient information.
  • Clean and maintain equipment and instruments to ensure optimal performance.
  • Stock and maintain supplies to ensure efficient laboratory operations.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure seamless laboratory operations and high-quality patient care.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in histotechnology preferred.
  • 1 year of laboratory-related experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer skills and medical terminology knowledge required.
