Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at the University of California. As a Senior Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a key role in providing administrative and patient care support to our diverse patient population.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff
- Travel to various ambulatory clinics throughout the greater Southern California area to provide support
- Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
- Develop and implement effective patient care plans to meet the unique needs of our patients
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
Requirements
- Active license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal
- Active CPR certification/BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and procedures
- Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills
- Experience performing phlebotomy, CPR, injections, and other skills within scope of practice
- Ability to be highly flexible and work a variable schedule
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 6 months of experience working as an LVN
- Primary Care experience, ED, OB, Endo, or Urgent care a plus
