This role plays a crucial part in the company's success, requiring a motivated and detail-oriented individual to coordinate with drivers, customers, and management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop optimized delivery routes for drivers, considering weather conditions and deadlines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between drivers, customers, and management, providing updates and instructions.
  • Schedule pickups and deliveries efficiently, dispatching loads in a timely manner.
  • Address issues during transportation, minimizing disruptions.
  • Track trucks and shipments using GPS, providing real-time updates.
  • Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs and delivery confirmations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including hours of service and safety standards.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is desirable.
  • Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
