Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist

Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology Technologist to work in our Cath Lab. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing Cardio Invasive Specialist duties and be certified in BLS and ACLS.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides safe and therapeutic care to patients in a holistic and caring way.
  • Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments and tailors caring practices to individual needs.
  • Assists physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cath lab.
  • Calibrates, operates, and troubleshoots equipment and instruments on a daily basis.
  • Delegates patient care activities to other healthcare team members and participates in making and revising staff assignments.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and/or Graduate of an accredited, school of Cardiovascular Technology or Radiology Technology or equivalent education and experience.
  • One – three years of experience in interventional Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab performing Cardio Invasive Specialist duties or equivalent years of experience as a nurse working in a critical care hospital unit.
  • BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, Registered in one of the following: RCIS, RTR VI, RTR CV, RTR CI, unless a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. If doesn't possess one of the above registries, must be licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.
