Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to join our team at PTC of Tennessee, LLC. As a Diesel Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of commercial trucks and equipment, working out of our fully equipped mobile service truck.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with commercial trucks and equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure vehicles are in good working condition
  • Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical publications to determine root cause of issues
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Requirements
  • 4 years of experience as a Diesel/Service Technician
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License and a qualified MVR abstract
  • Minimum tool requirements
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED with 5 years of experience in a truck dealership or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of commercial truck repair and maintenance procedures

The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. The noise level is normally loud.
