Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Operate advanced ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images of internal organs, using your technical expertise to optimize results.
  • Analyze images and report findings to physicians, providing clear and concise insights that inform their treatment decisions.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and calibration of ultrasound machines, ensuring they remain in optimal working condition.
  • Educate patients on the ultrasound process, addressing any concerns or questions they may have and providing reassurance throughout the experience.

Requirements
  • A degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in the principles of ultrasound technology.
  • Certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), showcasing your expertise and commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills, enabling you to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, allowing you to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Estimated Annual Salary: $85,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
