Position Summary:
The Laundry Technician is responsible for overseeing the laundry operations within the facility, ensuring the safe and efficient use of equipment while supervising staff. A thorough understanding of operational procedures and emergency protocols is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily laundry usage and inspect industrial washers, dryers, and other equipment.
  • Operate machinery by adjusting valves, switches, and levers, while controlling water temperature.
  • Conduct regular checks on laundry equipment and report any issues to the appropriate authority.
  • Manage the exchange of worn clothing and maintain security by conducting periodic rounds.
  • Keep an updated inventory of clothing items, ensuring proper distribution of cleaned garments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and security in the laundry area, including outside designated spaces.
  • Account for all tools and notify supervisors of any missing items.
  • Control and account for all chemicals and hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience operating industrial machinery.
  • Must possess maturity, flexibility, and empathy towards the needs of the facility.
  • Ability to adhere to policies and regulations.
  • Good physical condition and moral character.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in using computers and relevant software.

Compensation:
Pay rate is USD $16.20 per hour.
