Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes
  • Advise physicians on issues concerning drug therapy, toxicity, and side effects
  • Coordinate the activities of pharmacy technicians and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
  • Mentor and train others in pharmaceutical care and medication management
  • Conduct and evaluate medication histories, assess compliance, and suggest modifications to achieve desired outcomes
  • Individualize medication regimens using sound principles and pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic variations
  • Extract pertinent information from patient sources for medical management plans
  • Operate pharmacy computer systems and other equipment
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy (PharmD. preferred)
  • Current registration by the Oregon Board of Pharmacy (BCPS certification preferred)
  • Clinical pharmacy experience (residency training preferred)
