Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services Department at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, efficient care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities

As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating the care of intra-operative patients
  • Assisting surgeons in operative procedures
  • Maintaining and reviewing patients' records, including posting tests and examination results
  • Administering medications in accordance with physician orders
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current Florida Registered Nurse license in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
  • A nursing diploma or ASN, with a BSN preferred
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting, with a strong preference for surgical services
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills

HCA Florida Blake Hospital is a 383-bed hospital located in Bradenton, FL, with a 13-acre campus by the Gulf Coast beaches. We are the only state-designated Level II trauma center in Manatee, Sarasota, and DeSoto Counties, and we have received verification by the American College of Surgeons. Our services include 24-hour emergency care, open-heart surgery, burn care, cancer care, joint replacement, and inpatient rehabilitation.
