ESE Educator

We are seeking a qualified educator to join our team at Stepss / Christi Academy. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and be certified or in the process of acquiring certification in their subject area. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with experience in digital book technology, interactive classroom technology, and digital grade-books.

The educational leader will be responsible for the educational leadership of students in a small Christian school in Sunrise, FL. The teacher will be expected to understand and demonstrate the use of the school's curriculum, student instruction, and assessment to maximize educational achievement for all students. The teacher will work collaboratively to ensure a safe, secure, and respectful learning climate for all students.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Develops and implements a strategic planning system, including course, unit, and lesson plans.
• Provides opportunities for students to demonstrate progress toward graduation expectations.
• Uses formal and informal assessment strategies to determine student achievement and modifies instructional strategies as needed.
• Understands how students learn and provides learning opportunities that support intellectual, social, and personal development of diverse learners.
• Establishes and maintains a safe and secure classroom environment.
• Manages student misconduct promptly and resolves conflict and crises effectively.
• Promotes independent and collaborative work ethic.
• Uses teaching and learning strategies that reflect each student's culture, learning styles, special needs, and socioeconomic background.
• Performs other related duties as required.

The ideal candidate will be able to teach via Zoom or Google Classroom and will have a strong commitment to providing a high-quality education to students with special needs.
