We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rn Resident to join our team at Cleveland Clinic's South Pointe Hospital.

This is an exciting opportunity for new graduate Rns or those with less than one year of RN work experience to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Summary:

The Rn Resident will work on the Surgical/Medical Surgical 9 unit, providing care to adult patients undergoing elective surgeries. This diverse patient population ensures that our nurses gain a wide range of surgical and post-surgical patient care experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs
  • Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach
  • Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability)
  • Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk
  • Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently
  • Document in patients' medical records

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)

Compensation and Benefits:

Estimated Salary:$64,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience

Work Environment:

The Rn Resident will work Day/Night Rotation, from 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am. The role requires standing and walking for extended periods of time, corrected vision and hearing, and working under stressful conditions and irregular hours. Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids is also possible.
