Your Role

As a leading Commercial HVAC and Plumbing Contractor in Arizona, we are looking for motivated and proactive individuals who prioritize efficiency, dependability, and teamwork.

In the role of Plumbing Apprentice Level III, your main duty will be to assist in the effective and safe implementation of plumbing projects by following directives from Foremen and Journeymen, ensuring timely completion of plumbing tasks such as the installation of copper domestic water systems, commercial drain waste and vent systems, plumbing fixture setup, hand digging, backfilling, and the use of power tools. Flexibility for night, weekend, and holiday work may be necessary to meet project deadlines.

Compensation

$24 to $26 - Salary determined during the interview process.

A shift differential of $5 will be provided for specific jobs that require work outside of standard hours, including weekends and nights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrive at job sites punctually.
  • Adhere to instructions from Foreman/Journeyman and execute tasks promptly.
  • Engage in hand digging/backfilling activities.
  • Safely operate a jackhammer and perform concrete chipping.
  • Utilize power tools safely.
  • Install Commercial Piping Systems.
  • Drill anchors and set hangers.
  • Acquire necessary tools as specified.
  • Possess an expanded understanding of plumbing fittings, piping, and materials.
  • Assist Journeyman in locating fittings.
  • Identify discrepancies and offer suggestions.
  • Guide and mentor Apprentice 1 & 2 plumbers.
  • Adapt to staggered work schedules if needed.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Operate a jumping jack.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of field experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Thorough knowledge of all fittings and their appropriate applications.
  • OSHA 10 Card certification (to be obtained within the first 90 days).
  • Possession of all necessary plumbing tools for the role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Desire to learn and develop professionally.
  • Experience with JOC or Special Projects is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake tasks beyond plumbing.
  • Basic understanding of the International Plumbing Code (IPC).
  • Capability to train, instruct, and supervise Apprentice 1 & 2 plumbers.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs.
  • Openness to following directions and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Commitment to enhancing customer service skills.
  • Willingness to attend journeyman classes.
  • Professional conduct at all times.
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as required for specific projects (Pay Differential Applies).
  • Ability to pass a Government Background Check.
