About the Role

DORN Companies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Industrial Injury Prevention Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in reducing and eliminating employee injuries and pain by providing collaborative expertise to onsite safety and management teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement injury prevention strategies to reduce employee injuries and pain
  • Conduct workstation analyses and ergonomic assessments to identify potential hazards
  • Provide training and coaching on body mechanics, self-care techniques, and biomechanical training
  • Collaborate with site safety and management personnel to identify and address safety concerns
  • Develop and conduct pre-shift and post-lunch conditioning exercises based on Instinctive Movement System exercises
  • Utilize deep tissue techniques for wellness-focused pain relief
  • Conduct regular reports to onsite management and DORN regarding training, coaching, and recommendations

Requirements

  • Valid license or certification in a relevant field (e.g. Massage Therapist, Athletic Trainer, Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist)
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and/or industrial ergonomics
  • Education and experience in movement or exercise science, kinesiology, sports training/coaching
  • Strong observation and report writing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient technical skills (e.g. basic computer skills, phone apps, email)
  • Active Liability Insurance
  • Up-to-date Vaccinations
