Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians in circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring patients during cardiovascular procedures.
  • Operate laboratory equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, adhering to departmental and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Perform quality control and troubleshooting as needed, promptly reporting equipment issues.
  • Participate in the orientation of new employees and provide timely feedback to staff.
Requirements
  • Vocational or technical training in cardiovascular technology or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a cardiovascular lab as a cardiovascular technologist.
  • BLS Tier - Basic Life Support - Multisource certification required upon hire.
  • ACLS-BLS Tier - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required if working at Abbott Northwestern within 180 days.
  • Registered Invasive Cardiovascular Technology (RCIS) certification upon hire.
Physical Demands

The Senior Cardiovascular Technician role requires medium work, involving lifting up to 32 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
