Medical Imaging Technologist

As a Medical Imaging Technologist at SSM Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. You will operate a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies, ensuring that patients receive accurate and timely results.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce high-quality images.
- Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination, ensuring that patients understand the process and any necessary preparations.
- Enter and monitor patient data, transferring images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for review by radiologists.
- Administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ensure that equipment is properly functioning, reporting any potential problems or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas.
- Completion of a radiology program.
- No experience required, but prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- ARRT-MR certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
