Position Summary:
The Section Leader of PeaceHealth Medical Group holds a pivotal leadership role, collaborating closely with administrative partners to oversee the daily operations of their department. This position is essential for enhancing quality care, ensuring service excellence, maintaining safety, and improving financial performance while fostering caregiver and provider engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with operational leaders to monitor clinical quality and operational performance, providing insights for optimizing care standards.
2. Support providers in achieving performance targets and actively participate in clinic meetings with a commitment to effective communication.
3. Uphold and model behavioral standards aligned with the organization’s principles, ensuring the attainment of clinical service objectives.
4. Assist in resolving provider personnel issues in partnership with the Division Chief and Network Physician VP.
5. Participate in physician recruitment and retention initiatives, including assessing candidates and mentoring new providers.
6. Engage in performance improvement activities and regular Gemba rounding to enhance clinic operations.
7. Foster positive working relationships and facilitate problem resolution among staff.
8. Contribute to the efficient administration and operation of the clinic, offering suggestions for improvement.
9. Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, marketing, and financial performance of the department.
10. Develop and manage equitable provider work schedules and ensure timely communication.
Qualifications:
Education:
Must have completed an accredited program to obtain the necessary licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.
Experience:
Credentials as a Certified Nurse Practitioner are required.
Skills:
Strong organizational and communication skills, along with excellent clinical abilities, are essential. A focus on customer service is also required.
Working Conditions:
Physical demands may include lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally and operating medical equipment consistently. Fine motor skills are necessary for handling medical tools.
