Job Title: Java Web Developer

Location: Columbus, OH

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Java Web Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and implementation of application software within a full-stack service-provider environment. Your expertise will contribute to the achievement of company business strategies and objectives.

Responsibilities:
  • Strategy & Planning: Provide input and suggestions for accepted solution designs based on client requirements. Recommend technical and process improvements to senior technical team members for review. Foster a broad knowledge of new technology, languages, and systems.
  • Acquisition & Deployment: Gather business requirements for proposed applications. Perform medium to large programming assignments, adhering to established programming standards, methods, and best practices. Design application and database components for development projects. Analyze business models, logical specifications, and/or customer requirements to design and build Internet solutions utilizing multiple technologies. Mitigate significant risks associated with complex projects or those presenting challenges to the business.
  • Operational Management: Maintain and modify web applications, ensuring approved changes are documented and implemented. Conduct thorough testing of all coding changes. Provide support for critical web application problems and issues. Produce user and system documentation for operational and technical support. Assist in the discovery and investigation of critical production problems as required.
Qualifications:
  • Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge & Experience: 2+ years of IT experience. 2+ years of Java (or related) Web Application development experience and object-oriented analysis and design. 1+ years of experience in an Enterprise Database Management System (preferably Oracle), including intermediate or higher use of SQL and database management constructs. Preferred experience in Java, J2EE, JavaScript, HTML, JDBC or Hibernate. Experience in React, Java Spring Boot, Maven, Docker/K8S, AWS, Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture integration, and Responsive web design preferred.
