Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deli Associate-Grand to join our team at Kowalski's Markets. As a Deli Associate-Grand, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized deli area, and ensuring that all products are handled and displayed in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized deli area, including the deli counter, cases, and backroom.
  • Ensure that all products are handled and displayed in accordance with company standards, including proper rotation, labeling, and pricing.
  • Assist with food preparation, slicing meats and cheeses, and preparing trays for catering orders.
  • Process orders accurately and efficiently, including handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
  • Participate in inventory management, including receiving and stocking products, and monitoring inventory levels.
  • Assist with merchandising and visual displays, including setting up and maintaining displays, and creating eye-catching visual displays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, including cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining equipment and facilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a deli or food service environment preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.

Working Conditions
