Job Summary

Charter Oak Communities is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Caregiver Assistant to join our team. As a Caregiver Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Residents with Daily Activities: Provide assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Medication Management: Assist with medication administration, under the direction of the Nurse, to ensure residents receive their prescribed medications in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Facility Maintenance: Maintain the tidiness and orderliness of the facility, including cleaning, laundry, and restocking supplies, to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document resident interactions, including notes on their condition, medication administration, and any concerns or issues.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school graduate or equivalent, with a minimum of one year of experience working with elderly, mentally or physically challenged individuals.
  • Certifications and Training: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred, with the ability to pass the certification requirement for medication distribution within 60 days of hire.
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, with a primary work shift of 3:00 p.m. to 11 p.m. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of physical activity and attention to detail.
