The Inpatient Rehabilitation Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a crucial role in delivering quality care to patients within a rehabilitation setting. At Bon Secours Mercy Health, we are committed to enhancing the health and well-being of individuals through exceptional patient services.
Key Responsibilities:
As an LPN, you will be responsible for:
- Providing direct nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or other licensed healthcare professionals.
- Implementing patient care plans by delivering basic nursing interventions aligned with the LPN scope of practice.
- Performing essential clinical tasks, including phlebotomy and medication administration as prescribed.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to contribute to patient care strategies based on input from patients and their families.
- Executing additional duties as required to support patient care and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program.
- Current state licensure as an LPN.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (preferred).
Experience:
Preferred qualifications include:
- At least one year of clinical experience in an acute care or long-term care environment.
- Experience in an acute rehabilitation facility is advantageous.
Training:
Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems is preferred but not mandatory.
