Job Title: Hardware In The Loop System Integration Engineer

Cognizant's Mobility Practice is seeking a talented Hardware In The Loop (HIL) System Integration Engineer to support the product development and system integration processes.

Job Description

The Hardware In The Loop (HIL) System Integration Engineer will set up the HIL hardware, wiring, test rigs, vehicle network connections (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), Automotive modules, actuators, solenoids, etc. The HIL System Integration Engineer will develop expertise in hardware design and have advanced knowledge in-vehicle electrical and communication architectures. This will be a high voltage HIL for electrical vehicles and their battery systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up HIL hardware, wiring, test rigs, and vehicle network connections
  • Develop expertise in hardware design and in-vehicle electrical and communication architectures
  • Support product development and system integration processes
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate HIL systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or any equivalent Engineering
  • 2+ Years of High Voltage Electrical Vehicle Wiring and/or Battery experience
  • 2+ Years of experience in validation support of Scalexio Hardware and dSPACE tool chain
  • Automotive Industry Experience
  • Electrical schematics for vehicle components and systems and electrical architectures of distributed systems
Preferred Skills
  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or any equivalent Engineering
  • Development and execution of functional test procedures within an Automotive testing organization
  • Bench testing of distributed electrical systems (Electrical System Engineering) including bench functional integration, test execution, measuring and instrumentation, incident reporting and root cause analysis
  • Development and verification of embedded software using hardware in the loop equipment and software (E.g. dSpace, National Instruments)
