Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Foster positive relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and patients.
  • Efficiently prepare patients for their appointments, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction while supporting timely provider visits.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team to facilitate smooth patient care processes.
  • Accurately record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, weight, height, oxygen saturation, and pulse.
  • Review and verify patient medication and allergy information, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct intake procedures, ensuring all necessary information is collected.
  • Document patients' primary concerns in the electronic health records (EHR) system.
  • Provide patients with relevant informational materials as part of the chart preparation process.
  • Assist with patient discharge by providing after-visit summaries.
  • Ensure examination rooms are clean and well-stocked, notifying supply personnel when items are low.
  • Complete daily tasks and phone calls under the guidance of supervisors.
  • Administer EKGs, injections, and vaccines under supervision.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Medical Assisting program from an accredited institution is preferred.

Experience:
A minimum of one year of recent experience in a medical setting as a Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Caregiver, or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) is preferred. Experience with EKGs, vital signs, venipuncture, and injections is advantageous.

Additional Requirements:
Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of hire. Up-to-date health records with necessary immunizations for healthcare work (Hepatitis B and Tuberculosis).
