Job Summary:

A Senior Solutions Architect at Presidio leads the discovery, analysis, and design of cloud solutions that meet customer outcomes and requirements through direct client engagement. This role requires effective and efficient use of presales methodologies, technical acumen, and key relationships to position and recommend solutions that deliver long-term value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand customer current state and drive discovery and understanding of customer IT current state, goals, outcomes, and initiatives.
  • Identify customer stakeholders and their individual success criteria and needs, and create and lead technical solution approaches and next steps aligned to customer stakeholders.
  • Analyze and assess client requirements and determine target architecture and design solutions, and create and deliver compelling technical proposals directly to clients.
  • Maintain a high level of technical excellence and evangelism across multiple relevant solution architecture and product areas, and lead the curation and delivery of relevant technical knowledge, presentations, and conversations at all client levels and customer-related events.
  • Participate in client account-related activities that establish the Solution Architect as a trusted advisor internally and with customers, such as account planning, EBCs, social events, etc.
  • Engage Presidio team members and contribute to team activities and collaboration tools to drive an open, positive, inclusive, resilient, change-oriented team culture.
  • Develop working relationships with vendor partner teams and peers, and contribute to and drive execution of relevant partner vendor GTM strategies.
  • Actively plan and execute growth and career development activities, and seek and collaborate on improvements to presales processes and GTM.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a consulting role.
  • Understanding and knowledge of AWS Migration framework (MAP) and AWS funding options and process.
  • Previous hands-on experience of migrating workloads to AWS.
  • Understanding and knowledge of Cloud adoption models and approaches.
  • Expert-level knowledge and experience with design, implementation, and support of one or more of the following: Cloud Management Platforms, SDDC & Virtualization, Data Protection Platforms, Container platforms, Infrastructure as Code Tools.
  • Demonstrated comfort leading presentations, solution demonstrations, and whiteboard sessions.
  • Drive for trying new ideas and actively seek mentoring and coaching.
Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience with design, implementation, and/or support of one or more of the following: Network Route & Switch, Security, Compliance & Governance frameworks and tools, CI/CD pipelines and tools, Authentication / Authorization, Directory services, Agile practices and frameworks.
  • Cloud platform certifications: Cloud Solution Architect with AWS.
  • Presales experience with a strong bias for action.
  • Program management or project management experience.
  • Experience driving complex multi-discipline IT projects.
  • Experience and/or ability to prepare RFP/RFI response, proposals, and solutions.
  • Demonstrated comfort leading CIO/CTO level presentations, solution demonstrations, and whiteboard sessions.
  • Experience with reviewing and/or writing statements of work (SOW) and Bill of Material (BoM) for various types of projects in support of Cloud and datacenter solutions.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience.
  • + years of working experience in systems engineering or solution architecture.
  • + years of experience with AWS.
